A network of private schools accessible to all children… Dream or reality?

The association “C’ pour un Enfant” created in 2013 by Corinne Dray, carries out several actions in favor of young children, particularly in the areas of Education and Teaching, including:

1 Develop a network of international private Maria Montessori schools
2 Strengthen the policy of social openness of schools

Develop a network of private schools

Our project is to support project leaders to open Maria Montessori International private schools for children aged 2 to 6 years old.

We offer support in 3 points:

  1. Maturation of the school project: determine the will and ambition of the project leader, evaluate or plan teacher training, needs analysis, etc.
  2. Financing plan and administrative file: drafting of the business plan, search for premises or request for a quote for the work, search for a bank loan, administrative procedures with the National Education, recruitment, etc.
  3. Realization of the project in its implementation: layout and organization of spaces, ordering of equipment and furniture, implementation of management software, training of the team, relationship with families, organization of the opening day of the school, etc.

Strengthen the policy of social openness

We plan to grant tuition fee reductions to school students. Only families who are in need and who are motivated will benefit. These scholarships will be awarded on the basis of social criteria. Our goal is to have between 3 and 4 scholarship students per year. For this school year, we would like to award 2 scholarships. Your donation will make children’s dreams come true, giving them the chance to flourish at school.

Who is Maria Montessori?

In 1893, Maria Montessori was the first woman to graduate from the medical school in Rome. Despite the misogyny of the time, she managed, thanks to Professor Giuseppe Montessano, to specialize in child psychiatry, because Maria was interested in the fate of abandoned children taken into asylums. She sets out to save those who are fit to study. Maria then offers an alternative to treat them: scientific pedagogy.

The success of scientific teaching for over 100 years!

We offer an active pedagogy on the work of Doctor Maria Montessori developed from scientific, philosophical and educational concepts. It is a pedagogy aimed at making the child an actor in his life by working on sensory education thanks to handling of material.

Maria Montessori’s pedagogy is based on:

– knowledge of the child and his needs
– respect for one’s rhythm and personality
– attention to their development while promoting their social integration
– the development of autonomy, will, a sense of responsibility, and self-knowledge.

To make this possible, 3 main means are used:

  1. the attitude of the educator (observation of the child)
  2. the prepared environment in which the child grows
  3. the educational material made available (error control)

Today, there are around 25,000 schools (schools that follow Maria Montessori’s pedagogy) in the world! A large part of these schools are located in the United States, around 4500, in Germany, around 1200, in Great Britain, around 600 (the list of countries is long). France, for its part, was slow to adopt this method, there are only (around) 150.

Is our teaching model so effective? Why are parents worried about the future of their children? Why are young people failing so much at school? Why wait for the worst?

One of the alternatives for parents is to turn to private schools applying the Maria Montessori pedagogy which has been recognized for its success since 1908. In fact, Americans have long favored the Maria Montessori method, and many Montessori schools flourished in the United States.

Our turn has come, let’s give another chance to the new generation of children. Thanks to your donation, we will be able to create suitable educational structures, provide aid and allow them to achieve happiness.

A big thank you for your support.

Best regards,

Corinne Dray
